 I recently spoke to 25 women at the Chattahoochee Plantation Women's Association and was answering design questions from the audience when someone asked what to do for her dining room that needed some texture and color if I didnt recomend window treatments for her.
She has plantation shutters, a wood table, chairs, and no room for art. Lots of wood can be boring in a room, so I always recommend using some form of texture. Which can be found in fabrics, rugs, accessories, lighting, and wallpaper. I told her to use grasscloth wallpaper and watched everyone nod in agreement.

 I have a new client who was looking for an interior designer who does modern homes. He googled "Poggenpohl" and an article I wrote 2 years ago on my "Modern Buckhead Loft" came up on his internet search and now he is my newest client.
I had written the article about why great quality and great design is timeless and why as an interior designer, I want my clients to invest in the future. My new client grew up with a Poggenpohl kitchen and as fate would have it, he found me. I love going to Americasmart in Atlanta, but I prefer to go on quiet days not during market days, but today I was on a mission to shop for 4 interior design projects and I had to brave the winter market going on from January 10th-17th..
 As we begin to say goodbye to 2016 and usher in 2017, some of us will make the traditional New Year's resolution of improving ourselves, our careers, our relationships, and for some of us; our homes.
